THE 5-MINUTE PHOBIA CURE
INTRODUCTION:
How does this technique work? As you perform the procedures, you are
affecting the body's system of healing energy. It is a scientific fact,
though not widely addressed, that the body is composed of bio-electric
activity. This system of energy is used by specialists in the areas of
acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, therapeutic massage, and others.
Dr. Roger Callahan discovered that many psychological problems (like
phobias, anxiety, addictions) are caused by disturbances in the energy
system (ie. the mind-body connection). This is NOT related at all to
other psychotherapy treatments such as hypnosis, self-talk, placebo,
distraction, exposure, desensitization, or cognitive/behavior
modification. It requires no "belief or faith" for treatment
effectiveness. These techniques represent a breakthrough for
treating psychological suffering.
When you tune into upsetting thoughts, you are activating what
Dr. Callahan calls a "thought field". This results in specific
"perturbations" (disturbances) along the energy system. The
tapping techniques described below work to correct these perturbations
associated with the upsetting thoughts. When the proper treatments are
performed, the perturbations are rapidly collapsed and the emotional
upset is gone. The troubling thoughts are no longer disturbing and
preoccupying. You feel much more relaxed and you may even find
yourself wondering "What was I just thinking about?". When
performed correctly, these techniques are effective about 90% of

(Step by Step Procedures)

Before you begin, write down how bad the problem is for you?
On a scale of 1-10 (where 10 is maximum anxiety and 1 is no
anxiety at all), how would you rate the fear?

1. While thinking about the situation that causes you anxiety,
perform the following 3 Major Treatments, tapping about
10 times at each point:
#1) under the eyes, about an inch (tap with 2 fingers).
#2) below the armpit, about 4 inches (tap with 2 fingers).
#3) below the collarbone (find the center of the collarbone
and go about 1 inch diagonally below. Tap with 2 fingers.)
2. Perform the "9 Gamut Treatments": ("gamut" means series or range)
[The "gamut spot" is located on the back of either hand,
between the knuckles of the pinky and ringfinger and
about half an inch down toward the wrist.]
Tap on the "gamut spot" continuously, with 2 fingers, while holding
your head still and performing these 9 steps (each one for about
2 seconds). Do the tapping with your dominant hand.
(Note: eye movements, humming, and counting exercises
access different areas of the brain for deep relaxation)
1) Eyes open
2) Eyes closed
3) Open eyes and glance eyes down to the left
4) Glance eyes down to the right
5) Whirl eyes in a circle (either direction)
6) Whirl eyes in a circle in the opposite direction
7) Hum a few notes of any tune ("Happy Birthday", "ABC", etc.)
8) Count to five
9) Hum again
3. Repeat the 3 Major Treatments from Step 1, while thinking about
your phobia or anxiety-provoking situation.
4. Perform the "Floor to Ceiling Eye Roll":
- While tapping continuously on the gamut spot, perform the
procedure as follows:
- Holding your head still and upright, glance your eyes
down to floor. Now, slowly roll your eyes upward,
higher and higher, as high as they'll go up towards the
ceiling. When your eyes have reached the highest point,
close your eyelids and take a deep breath. Take about
6 to 8 seconds to perform the eye-roll.

THAT'S IT.....THIS TECHNIQUE IS VERY FAST AND EASY !!!
The initial treatment process usually takes just a minute or two. You
should experience noticeable relief. Repeat these steps again to feel
even more relief if needed. After doing steps 1-4, take another reading.
See if you've gone down on that scale. Repeat steps 1-4 to bring it
down further.
(Beware of "reversals", see note #2 below).

NOTES:
#1. It is required to "tune into" the problem while you are doing
these treatments. This activates the "thought field". Think
about the problem that causes you anxiety while doing the
tapping. Visualize the situation that you’re nervous about
throughout the entire treatment process. After all of the
treatments are done, you should notice that you are significantly
less upset when you try to think about the problem.
#2. If you experience no improvement after steps 1-4, you probably
have a type of block known as a "reversal". This is a problem
that prevents the treatments from working. Some anxiety
sufferers are reversed. A reversal occurs when a person feels
more stress when trying to overcome their problem, then
when not doing anything about it. The fix for a reversal is
simple.
Perform this additional step each time before repeating
steps 1-4:
- To fix a "reversal", you must find the energy point to
correct this problem. The spot is located on the side of
the hand (either hand) between the base of the pinky and the
beginning of the wrist. This would be the "karate chop"
point, where you would deliver a karate type of blow. Tap
solidly and continuously on this point while saying this
phrase 3 times out loud (or silently, if you're in public):
"I'm a good person even though I have this problem."
(This phrase is used promote self-acceptance, which
is a vital part of the healing process).
- After the reversal is corrected, repeat Steps 1-4 from
page 1.
#3. For some phobias, like fear of spiders (arachnophobia) and fear of
closed spaces or being trapped (claustrophobia), you may need to
change the sequence of the major treatments. Try doing major
treatment #2, then #1, then #3 (as follows):
- below the armpit
- under the eyes
- collarbone point
- 9 Gamut treatments
- below the armpit
- under the eyes
- collarbone point
- Floor to Ceiling Eye Roll
#4. Some phobias for flying in an airplane are really a fear of being trapped
in a closed-in space. Try using the sequence for claustrophobia
to treat this fear of "flying".
#5. If your anxiety decreases a few points but you get stuck and you can't
make it reduce to a "one", you need to fix this "mini-reversal" before
repeating steps 1-4. Reversals can sometimes "kick in" a few times
during a treatment process. Tap on the side of your hand (the "karate
chop" point) and this time change the phrase you repeat 3 times to be as
follows:
"I'm a good person even though I STILL have SOME of this problem"
#6. If you still are not getting any relief, a deeper kind of block called
"Recurring Reversal" can prevent the treatments from working. To
fix a recurring reversal you must use a different, more powerful point
for correcting this block. The "recurring reversal" spot is located on
the upper left chest just below the collarbone. Gently poke in
this region to locate a "tender sore spot". Rub this sore spot
continuously while your repeat this phrase 3 times:
"I'm a good person even though I have this problem."
Then, go back and repeat Steps 1-4 while you think about the
situation that you are fearing.
